This policy explains how Lumenfoil handles information in the Lumenfoil app and on lumenfoil.com.

Information in the Lumenfoil app

Lumenfoil stores the projects you create—including pattern geometry, piece numbers, material selections, cost estimates, project settings, and edit dates—locally inside the app’s protected container on your device. Lumenfoil does not require an account to create or edit a project.

Reference files and exports

If you choose a reference image or document, Lumenfoil receives only the item you select through Apple’s system picker. Files you export are created at your request and go only to the location or person you choose through Apple’s save and share controls. Lumenfoil does not automatically upload your artwork or exports to our servers.

Backups and deletion

Local app data may be included in a device backup according to your Apple and device settings. Deleting Lumenfoil removes its local app container from that device. Copies you exported or shared remain wherever you chose to save them.

Purchases

App purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment-card details. The app may receive purchase and entitlement information from Apple so it can unlock paid features and restore purchases.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

The current Lumenfoil app does not contain third-party advertising, cross-app tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs. We do not sell app data or use your projects to train generative artificial-intelligence models.

Website updates

If you choose to subscribe on lumenfoil.com, we store the email address you submit, the signup source, and the date of signup. We use this information only to send Lumenfoil product updates, new-pattern news, and workshop tips. Providing an email is optional; you can ask us to stop updates or delete your record at any time.

App Store link measurement

Links from the website and Lumenfoil social profiles may include a channel name such as “website,” “Instagram,” or “Pinterest.” When one of these links is used, we record the channel and time of the click so we can understand which outreach is useful. This record does not contain your email address, project files, or app activity.

Service providers and international processing

The website uses infrastructure providers to host the site and store website-update records. Depending on their infrastructure, information may be processed outside your country. We disclose information only when needed to operate those services, protect Lumenfoil and its users, or comply with a valid legal obligation. We do not sell personal information.

Your choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of a website-update record by emailing support@lumenfoil.com. Because app projects remain on your device, you control them directly by editing or deleting them in the app or by deleting the app.
